For the full story, and previous pictures of Lydia Bridge.... see here. So last night after hitting M'Couls Pub, we ended up driving down through Jamestown.... Drove by the old Alma Mater Theater at GTCC, and the old Drama room at Ragsdale high.... then we parked at the Student parking lot and hiked over to Lydia's Bridge. I was imagining it might have disappeared based on comments and emails I've received on Greensboring... but lo-and-behold, it's still there.... It's rather quite odd.... with all the construction, they could have filled it in and stopped the hoards of teen-aged (and old people like me) ghost hunters from trespassing... but the didn't... It's still there, now concrete-reinforced, and serving as a drainage channel for the adjacent hill.... The legend of Lydia's bridge, appears to live-on!

Where the Road would have gone during the post-Lydia-bridge era...

You have to actually get out of your car and go down into the old underpass at night. Go inside the bridge and don't go alone...take a Ouija board with you and see what happens. Again...do not go alone!!

people listen up i will always believe lydia really exist i'm 55yrs. old and as a child my dad traveled this road frequently bringing my siblings and i to spend the weekends with our grandparents one night we got a late start and i will never forget this girl standing on the side of the road trying to get a ride in a fancy dress is how i described it back then trying to tell our father but when we looked back she was gone but she was there at this time i was maybe nine or ten and i had never heard of lydia but after telling our story to my grandmother she told us about her shes real i saw her i'm not much one on horror movies and ghost but this one is real

I'm buying a crackin prom dress, some glow in the dark paint and I'm going to go stand on this bridge for Halloween, next year....

The house that she gets dropped off at ih about a half a mile down the road. There is a yellow yield sign right before it and she usually disappears there. If you are driving and the pass is on your left, the house is also on your left. There is a really long drive way and it is a pretty decent sized house. I know there used to be a Church right after that on the right side. But I haven't been there for 13 years now. I used to visit the Jefferson Pilot building right by my house all of the time. My borthers and I rode bikes there. It's the original one on High Point Rd. It's haunted too. I have experienced many encounters there. It's a beautiful building and almost looks like a school or college. Thanks for putting up the pictures. It was neat to see all of that again. It still looks the same!

Yeah, I grew up on Fairfax Rd. too and I was always much more fascinated with the JP building. It's sad now though, because it's really been let go and it looks run down...of course maybe that adds to its scare factor. Also, this may sound weird, but I think my brothers may have been childhood friends with your brother. Do you happen to have a brother named Wade?
