Bloom Grocery Stores

Over the summer we decided to take the kids down to the Discovery Zone, down in Charlotte. One of the interesting discoveries we made once entering into Charlotte is the Grocery Store chain called Bloom.

I had never heard of Bloom, but learned its owned by Food Lion. I actually had to do a double take, because at least from the outside, it looked very upscale. Very similar to Harris Teeter; and, I imagine that is their goal.

When will Greensboro get these magical Bloom stores, that are supposedly designed by and for shoppers? Who knows? Food Lion's current set up which involves shopping with a chest full of dynamite to get any customer service is not very good in my opinion.

Though the website leaves a lot to the imagination, I must say I find myself intrigued, and hopeful Food Lion will drop its dated, and tainted image of the low-cost supermarket in favor of a more rewarding shopping experience.

So Food Lion, when you going to build a Bloom Grocery Store in Greensboro?

Bloom Muffins

A Bloom billboard on N.C. 150 featured a car-crushing muffin as an eye-catching way to call attention to one of the supermarket's signature items, Bloomberry Muffins. The jumbo-size muffins on the billboard went up at the end of August and a muffin 'fell' off the billboard last week and 'landed' on a car below.

HELLO,
MY NAME IS LYN THOMPSON, AND I HAVE A COMPLAINT. RATHER OR NOT I WILL GET A REPLY FROM THIS BLOG REMAINS TO BE SEEN. I HAVE BEEN A FAITHFULL SHOPPER OF BLOOM. WHY I DON'T KNOW. I HAVE HAD SO MUCH TROUBLE FROM YOU. THE LATEST IS THAT YOU HAVE THESE PROMOTIONS GOING ON AND KNOW ONE IN THE STORE ACTUALLY EXPLAINS HOW IT WORKS. I SHOP BLOOM AT LEAST 3 TIMES A WEEK. I JUST FOUND OUT LAST WEEK THAT I HAVE TO ASK FOR THE REWARD POINTS STICKER. I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW YOU HAD A STICKER. I KNOW I HAVE SPENT WELL OVER $700. IN THE PAST 3 MONTHS. I HAVE 4 SONS AND A DAUGHTER AND A HUSBAND. THEY EAT LIKE IT'S THEIR LAST MEAL. AND I COULD HAVE ACTUALLY GOT SOMETHING FREE. I GUEST IT IS UP TO BLOOM TO TAKE THEIR PRICES UP AND ANNOUCE WE HAVE A REWARD FOR YOU SPENDING SO MUCH MONEY, BUT DO THEIR BEST TO MAKE IT DIFFICULT FOR YOU TO GET THE REWARD. THANKS SO MUCH FOR ALL YOU DO BLOOM
SINCERLY ,
MRS. LYN THOMPSON - BROKE BY BLOOM

I sympathize with you, Fool Lion & Bloom management both IMHO (and not that of anyone I'm related to who may work for the entity) are generally lack of any rational thought whatsoever. That said, I would talk to management, if you get no where there you can ask for the district manager. Sometimes they're sympathetic....

I'm a customer that always goes to bloom to buy my grocery and the new manager that takes over bloom is not a very good manager. My point is that I asked him to make ma a money order and he said that he didn't know how to do it.Also my mom was upset because he didn't know how to run the register. It was better off bloom having the former manager named Zack.Zack knew how to do e verything. The new manager named Patrick doesn't seem like he knows anything.Patrick is really rude to customers.I know his name beacause I saw his nametag.I wish you guys had a better manager.

Sincerely,
Rick Cupplet

TO THE WOMAN IN REGARDS TO REWARD POINTS. MAYBE YOU SHOULD POINT OUT A SPECIFIC STORE
INSTEAD OF MAKING IT SOUND LIKE YOU ARE BASHING ALL OF THEM. I SHOP AT THE ONE IN FORT MILL, SC
AND THE EMPLOYEES THERE GO OUT OF THEIR WAY TO EXPLAIN AND HELP. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS ASK A
QUESTION AND YOU WILL GET AN ANSWER. THE BROCHURE THAT YOU SAVE YOUR HAPPY POINTS ON IS SELF
EXPLANATORY IF YOU JUST READ IT.
