Sorry, not enough food involved to be worth it to me. Place is aptly named, I'll give it that. Women usually love it, most men are like "WTF's the rest of it !?" Same thing with Panera.

BTW, I tried a Burger King the other day for the fiirst time in years. The place STILL SUCKS !! HTF has that thing stayed in business so long? If I really wanted a dried-out mini-burger I'd seek out a White Castle.

It's been close to 2 years since I've been to BK. I don't eat burgers much anymore unless they're straight off mine or someone's grill.

I have a co-worker whose wife swung by with the kids to pick him up for some free lunch Friday and they were all in their costumes. He was moooved to join his family and the utter chaos at Chick-Fil-A. That's no Bull!

I love Chick-Fil-A but find their prices to be a bit high, and for some reason I always want to eat there on Sunday.... which is when they're closed.

Next week at the Elm Street store, it's rock and roll Saturday. Kids that come dressed as their favorite rock star (pop and country ok too) will get a free kids meal.

They've been doing these theme promos all summer. Last Saturday, it was "Everyday Hero day" they had the street blocked off and the fire department had a truck on display to crawl around in and the GPD had their new bomb squad RV out there complete with the remote controlled robot. It was pretty cool.

I saw that, thought somebody had called in a bomb threat or something.

I used to work at BK a long time ago. The one I worked at (out of state) actually had pretty good darn food. However, the ones here in NC (Corporate owned) really suck suck suck. It's a shame. At one time I also was a technician contracted by BK corporate to work on their registers, computers, and network systems in the SE US. The stories I could tell you about BK (as I have worked in well over a hundred of them) would make the hair on your necks rise.

Chick-Fil-A is infested with soccor moms and their minivans. However, the food is pretty decent IMO. It is the ONLY fast food in the triad that I feel comfortable eating in these days.

Never go to Chic-Fil-A again....

Or is the restaurant wavering in their position?

Chick-fil-A, Since 1946, when the restaurant opened, owner S. Truett Cathy, a devout Southern Baptist, has been incorporating his religious beliefs into what his company stands for.

According to the company’s Web site, his chain of restaurants advocate and sponsor religious groups such as Focus on the Family, a group that believes that Christian perspectives deserve special recognition from the government over other religions.

“I know that Chick-fil-A gives money to lots of different companies and organizations like Focus on the Family, but I feel like anything that supports discrimination against other people, anti-gay acts, and sexual acts outside of marriage is just shady,” she said.

“I’m against Chick-fil-A because of their conservative views on homosexuality and abortion, and like most people at Western, I’m pretty liberal. Of course there is a message in their views, but there is also a message in their food service,” he said.

“The EDC took time to ensure that Chick-fil-A’s franchise would be welcoming to our LGBT committee by adopting Sodexo’s (Western’s dining vendor) commitment to benefits and diversity inclusion. In other words, the University insisted that Chick-fil-A would operate under Western’s values and its commitments to diversity. There was no resistance to the inclusion of the values by the national Chick-fil-A company,” Hart wrote.

“In February, the EDC reviewed Chick-fil-A’s affiliations and they found no evidence that it engaged in discriminatory practices. Additional concerns were expressed and a more thorough review of Chick-fil-A’s practices occurred this summer with the same conclusion."

Anti-gay? What's wrong with being anti-gay? Anti--gay <> discrimination.

I never go to that company for meals unless a friend has his heart set on it for himself. I hate giving my money to support their agenda.

Ironically the company is probably the most successful fast food place in the area (and it isn't even open on Sunday). Many more people must go there BECAUSE of the values they support. Besides, their nuggets are awesome too!

The reason people go is because of the food. Plain and simple. Its higher quality and acceptable to more diets than your standard McD's fare.

Hey -- they're free to support whatever hate-filled cro-magnon group(s) they want to, and I wish them all the luck in the world. But I just don't feel like tossing in any of MY pennies to go that way.

I appreciate that Chic-Fil-A takes a Godly stand. And by the way you shouldn't worry about what Chic-Fil-A thinks about Homosexuality and Abortion. You should want to know what God thinks about them.

If Western chooses not to include Chick-fil-a then fine. But as V.O. Key, the famous political scientist said, "If one is 18 and not liberal, he has no heart. If one is 65 and not conservative, he has no mind." I was more liberal in my views as a college student but now I am much more conservative and this writer will be too. Chick-fil-a has the right to support whatever views it may, and as a christian, I support them. If a bunch of college kids and professors, basically the only place to find true liberals anymore in the U.S., do not want Chick-fil-a, then I think thats just fine by everyone. However, the ACLU is about as liberal as any organization in the world, and they have a long history have protecting any citizen's right to believe, unless of course they are christian and then of course they have no rights by the ACLU's standards. This is the state of liberalism in the U.S.: one can be of any social, sexual, racial, religious or political view and they deserve to be heard, unless of course they are white, heterosexual, conservative, christian men of above average income, then they must be oppressors and don't deserve to be heard. That is the definition of fascism and saying that Chick-fil-a is not deserving of their rights to believe as they see fit, is a fascist statement which as antithetical to true liberalism.

Chic-Fil-a isn't that good that I'll support them if they're truly supporting terrorist organizations like FOF. If we we're talking about Roscoe's then maybe... but not Chic-Fil-a. Next time I see their cow, I'll be kicking it.

FOF = terrorist?

I can think of many other groups that much more closely resemble a terrorist group than FOF.

While I doubt this will influence you, the ACLU supports religious freedom - for all. If you examine the cases you will note that there are many cases where the ACLU has fought and won cases supporting the religious freesdms of Christians. There are also many cases where they have fought and won cases where Christians were trying to deny the freedoms of non-Christians.

I haven't seen anyone here say that Chick-fil-a is not deserving of their rights to believe as they see fit. All they have said is that they will exercise their right to tell them to stuff their chicken.
