Local hotspot for biodiversity

I don't find it surprising that the Smoky Mountains is a terrific place to study biodiversity. It has always been a wondrous place to visit, with a wide variety of environments. It's very neat to think that the study has uncovered almost 1000 species never found before. This just highlights how much more we can learn... if we only know where to look.

The restrooms in the dorm I lived in while at college would also be a good place to study biodiversity. Although I wouldn't consider it a wonderous place to visit.... :?

Doubtless, a biologist would have a different attitude in this regard. But for everyone else... the Smoky Mountains are more than good enough.

Location: 5th circle of hell -- actually not very crowded at the moment.
And they have pretty good hand-jarred jellies up there.... mmmm... Jelly.
This is our chance to change things, this is our destiny.
