This website really brings it home:

http://prisonmap.com/

That's almost 5,000 jails and prisons, each able to hold 5-6,000 inmates.

Why is this important?

Well for one, NC has went bat-shit crazy and the U.S. isn't far behind. The rate of incarcerations are going up almost daily (though the NY Times published an article today saying we're currently in a decline [let's hope]). We're at a all time high. There's more black-people incarcerated today than there were slaves during the civil war.

What's more is the captivity rate of the U.S. population is surpassing .7%, and ever growing as more prisons come on line daily. It's just a matter of time till U.S. life is living in little cells with an hour of daylight for many of us.

That's more people in jail than under the WWII Russian Gulag system.

We are the world's largest prison population.

Watch out Governor McCrory is coming for you.... Democrats.
