could america be mystery babylon? we are just as logical a choice as any other participant. i believe our downfall could possibly come from the rapture of the church. face it a great majority of people in the u.s. say they believe in christianity. when the rapture happens, millions will disappear from this country alone. more so than any other country on the planet. so this alone will affect the u.s. more than any other country. all hell will break loose on this country, literally. face it we wont be nuked othewise we'b obliterate the whole planet as a response. terrorist attacks just slow us down. (9/11). so it has to be something amazing and widespread. something so huge we can't recover. economic shutdown from high oil prices is hurting every country not just ours...so i don't believe it will be economic.
this country is going to be judged more harshly than any other out there. we are the richest country by far, our military is the best and our religion is the stongest. those who have much...much more will be required. and by that verse alone in the bible we are failing miserably. prostitution, porn, false prophets, greed.... a person could list sins by the dozens and we'd probably lead that category. not to say every other country doesn't sin, it's just that according to our religion and status in the world we should know better according to the bible. we just don't care. we're in the "it's all about me" generation. we're headed for something amazing biblically. for those of you who are saved and know the Lord in your hearts..congratulations. for those who don't have time or just don't care....just look around. whether you want to believe in Him or not you know something's going on. crack open the bible and read revelation, daniel and isaiah. this is no doubt a road map we're on. step by step we're fulfilling prophecies. you won't hear that on the nightly news. instead you'll only hear scoffing and constant bashing of christianity.

I think that the world is in serious danger weather any one wants to admit it or not and there are a lot of biblical prophecies that have come true. Also the basic life principles of the bible make a lot of sense as far as humanity. For instance God tells us not to have sex outside of marriage and I don't know if any one has noticed but look at how bad our society is now with people having "casual sex" and getting std's and unwanted pregnancies and abortions and all of the adultery. Look at the tv shows and movies they now seem to portray cheating as glamorous and the norm. Men are labeled as players and are uplifted for this! we have talk shows dedicated to these things like Maury. People are really hurt by these things especially children. Look at our children today they're without boundaries and if you have no boundaries how do you know what is right and wrong? children are being raised without fathers because he doesnt want to take responsibility for his actions and I feel a lot of this is due to the acceptance of divorce. When mothers stayed home with the children they learned from their mothers not some person you drop them off with whose values may not be aligned with your own and why is this because of the fact that our country has lost its core values. People base their values on what they want to do and not what is best for themselves or others. Look at the principle of not lying or cheating or stealing no one likes to have any of this happen to them which are a part of God's basic principles. In revelations it talks about the beast with 7 heads and one of which was injured I believe it was referring to the Roman empire the injury indicating it returns. our society is very similar to theirs as far as sex and greed and control. Sex is completely out of control in this country women dress with very little clothing and look up the women who pose naked in magazines and dream of doing the same wishing they could be just like them. This is disgusting and it reminds me a lot of the bath houses in Rome designed for people to come have sex with mutiple people in public just like pornography. Romes downfall was due to economic deterioration just like the us is headed for now with our recession happening and the worst is yet to come. so much money has been dedicated to the military just like in Roman times president Bush took money from transportation and health care and education and diverted it to the military making it the top priority just like in the Roman empire, and who was expected to pay for it taxpayers!! They tried to fix it lowering interest rates and look interest rates are at their all time lows, inflation is through the roof as far as groceries and housing heating our homes etc. in other words people can hardly afford to live anymore and thats what it was like towards the end of the Roman empire. I really hope that anyone who is skeptical at least have an open mind because when Rome didn't know what to do they expanded their borders to raise the amount of taxpaying citizens. When the economy hits it hardest point I think this will open a door for one world government or expansion of our borders. Barack Obama was already talking about government needs to be bigger what else could that mean. Our economys hardships are affecting the entire world and the rest of the world may not have a choice but to do this in order to restore the world's economy. Money is worth less and less especially since they put money into circulation just to get it there when it really has no value to back it up, just like in Roman times when they kept debasementing the money meaning they reduced the amount of precious metal content in their money same concept ours is just on a grander scale. Maybe peole are causing the prophecies themselves but God never said it wouldn't happen that way. Weather you believe it or not open your eyes to what is happening around us our economy and society are decaying. people are evil, selfish, irresponsible, immoral, cruel, and self destructive. people don't believe in God because they don't want to take responsibility for their actions and realize there are consequences weather they are directly affected by them or not. If we are not babylon then I don't know who is because we sure fit the bill. I also believe that television is the false prophet because it is prophesised that is will speak. The tv puts ideas in ours heads and perpetuates the beast through commercials which instill fear that we can't live with out their product and they will help us. I believe that the beast is the market. it is prophesised that we will not be able to purchase land or food with our the mark of the beast which would make sense if every ones wealth was kept on a microchip in our bodies then all of our records will be kept on there making it so we have to use our own identity to purchase the basic needs of survival food and shelter if you arent complying with the beasts policies of this microchip you go without. it would also make sense in the ideology of one world government as to create one world currency that every one could agree on and make it easier to spend money all over the world and cause the whole worlds wealth to be as one. watch for the signs and remember that God will forgive any one for any thing they have done as long as their heart is true.

You all only part right. America is part of Great Babylon but only a part. The end time power is made up of three parts. They are the dragon, the beast, and the false prophet. The dragon is the civil power, the beast is a religious power and the false prophet is a deceiving power.

I do believe, 95 % or more, that America is Babylon. Why ? It says, in Revelation 14 I believe, there are 3 angels. The first angel speaks of proclaiming to the whole world. I think too, it says, give her double. How long have we said God Bless America and aborted children. We can't see the effects of this daily as we walk down the street. How would anyone ever know if a woman had an abortion unless she said she did? We can see homosexuality in the culture, not all of it, but alot. However, no one can see abortion. Earthquakes, famines. Famine is coming to America, soon. You should stock up food if you can.

Nothing promised by the Lord comes easily, so why then, would you expect the names of nations in revelations to be given clearly and specific? John was shown a vision. A vision of a great city falling. A city that was at the top of world trade status. A city that harbored sin and ungodliness. In John's time, this was Babylon. In our time, this city is.....you guessed it, America. If you believe in the prophesy coming true in our time, then Babylon being the target of downfall would contradict the qualities of the chosen corrupt nation depicted in Revelations. So, in conclusion, you have to agree that 'Babylon' is nothing more than title, or a name. A name given to the chosen nation, city or country that awaits downfall. All that is left to do, is decide which one fits the description best. And in my eyes, America fits better than any other puzzle piece on the globe.
