DUI arrest challenged on grounds of church-state separation

You gotta laugh sometimes at the crazy-stupid stuff that some people dream up for the courts to decide on. Like this idiot who claims that Duke University campus police should not have been allowed to arrest him for drunk driving -- because Duke University is a "Methodist" institution.

Who knew those guys on their little Segways were the Church Police?

Couldn't have anything to do with the fact the student is a rich pampered child who likely thinks they're entitled to everything.
This is our chance to change things, this is our destiny.

I have heard from a very good friend that this case very likely DOES have some merit, and that lawyers around the Triangle area have wanted to challenge Duke's campus police and their ability to arrest for some time. It really doesn't seem correct to me, but then I'm not trained in legal logic the way lawyers and judges are. I guess the story will bear some following.

Location: 5th circle of hell -- actually not very crowded at the moment.
You don't see this crap happening over at GTCC... The students will just pop the cops tires.
